Nancy Engen-Wedin, M.A. Lecturer, Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education
Nancy Engen-Wedin is a lecturer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She joined the Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education in 2001 and has worked with the Lied Center for Performing Arts since 1999. Engen-Wedin has taught courses on professional practice, student teaching, linguistics and art. She earned bachelor’s degrees in art education and psychology at Luther College, a master's degree in educational psychology from the University of Minnesota and an educational administration license from Saint Mary's University. Before arriving in Lincoln, Engen-Wedin held numerous educational positions at public schools, colleges, universities and learning centers throughout Minnesota.
Engen-Wedin is the director of UNL's Native American Career Ladder Program and the Lied Center's Educational and Creative Initiatives. She is a member of the American Educational Research Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Art Education Association, the National Council of Teachers of English and the Nebraska Art Teachers Association.
