Jeanette Harder, Ph.D. Professor, Grace Abbott School of Social Work

Jeanette Harder’s professional specialties include program evaluation and child abuse prevention in faith communities. She is the project director for Support and Training for the Evaluation of Programs (STEPs), housed in the UNO Barbara Weitz Community Engagement Center. She and her staff evaluate programs serving children, youth, and families in poverty.

Harder is also a co-founder and board member for Dove’s Nest, a nonprofit organization that seeks to empower and equip faith communities to keep children and youth safe in their homes, churches, and communities.

Harder received her doctorate in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004.
