Deryl Hatch, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Department of Educational Administration
Deryl Hatch’s research and teaching focuses on understanding the tensions between student access and student success in community colleges—in particular the institutional structures which influence student experiences. He is also an associate of the Center for Community College Student Engagement (CCCSE) at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to UNL, Hatch served as Research Associate at CCCSE where he led the development of the Community College Institutional Survey and the Survey of Online Student Engagement, among other survey instruments designed to provide data about promising practices of community college student success.
Hatch holds an Ed.M. in technology, innovation, and education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a bachelor’s in linguistics from Brigham Young University.
