Julia McQuillan, Ph.D. Professor and Chair, Department of Sociology
Julia McQuillan teaches courses on family, health, gender and research methods. She is a co-investigator on the grant that created two-wave survey date for the National Survey of Fertility Barriers and has collaborated on over fifteen articles exploring the social and behavioral consequences of infertility and the multiple dimensions of motherhood. Currently she is studying the impacts of relationship type (cohabiting or married) on sexual satisfaction, stratified reproduction and unintended births.
McQuillan earned her doctorate at the University of Connecticut in 1998. She served as the director of the survey research, statistics and psychometrics core faculty at UNL from 2011-15.
