Sally Wei, M.S., M.A.T. Coordinator of Engineering Education and Outreach, Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools
Sally Wei’s current research interests and projects include: K-12 engineering outreach; engaging females and minorities in STEM opportunities; sustainability of engineering outreach programs in informal and formal settings; and longitudinal studies of engineering outreach programs. She also serves as UNL’s Project Lead The Way (a national STEM curriculum) affiliate director. She has worked more than 20 years in the computer industry for companies such as Hewlett-Packard and AT&T. Her roles in the computer industry include research and development engineering, project management, and marketing and sales.
Wei earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and a Master of Arts in teaching from Union Graduate College. Her MAT mini-thesis was titled “Growing Roots in STEM: How to Engage Females in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.”
