CYFS 20 Year Anniversary

Overview

CYFS marked its 20th anniversary in the 2024-25 academic year with a strategic marketing campaign for internal and external audiences. The milestone was highlighted using print and digital communications, special installations, swag items and celebratory events.

The Challenge

Branding

An anniversary seal was designed and featured on all CYFS communications and promotional materials, including email signatures, Zoom backgrounds, signage, floor decals, swag items and social media assets.

Video production

Videos featuring interviews with various collaborators were produced to help bring the center’s story to life. The videos showcased the center’s broad partnerships with faculty, students, practitioners, research participants and state organizations.

Web design & Development

An interactive website was developed to celebrate the center’s 20 years of growth. The website included engaging videos, dynamic historical timeline, key research impacts, signature programs, event information and more.

Graphic Design 

Various collateral pieces were created to increase awareness of the anniversary, including: a special edition annual report, vinyl banners, floor decals, postcards, notepads, stickers, sticky notes and social media graphics.

Event Planning

Nearly 200 people attended “CYFS@20: Research That Shapes the Future” to mark the center’s anniversary and learn about its vision for the future. The catered event included remarks from University of Nebraska President Jeffrey Gold, UNL Chancellor Rodney Bennett, CYFS Director Susan Sheridan and a keynote by Mark Greenberg, Penn State University. A special breakfast was also hosted for a limited audience of staff and faculty.
