HESHIMA Project

Overview

The HESHIMA Project focused on fostering inclusive humanitarian mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) among marginalized refugees living in Nairobi County, Kenya. Heshima, which is Kiswahili for “respect,” refers to Honoring Experiences and Shared Humanity in Mobilizing for Action.

The HESHIMA Project culminated in two key outputs:

Graphic Design

The guide encompasses two key outputs: the assessment report and the participatory toolkit. The report presents the key findings of the project. The toolkit is a collection of resources crafted for a diverse audience of professionals working within the urban humanitarian sector in Nairobi.
