MAP Academy’s 2024-25 Methodology Applications Series begins Oct. 4

The MAP Academy’s 2024-25 Methodology Application Series: Supporting and Leveraging Robust Research Data Systems kicks off Oct. 4 with a presentation by Lorey Wheeler, MAP Academy director.

The presentation, titled “Developing a Strong Research Data Infrastructure,” will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall, Room 312.

This four-talk series, hosted by the Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics & Psychometrics with funding support from the Nebraska Research Initiative, will guide students and applied researchers in developing, maintaining and accessing high-quality data to promote rigorous and impactful research.

Part 1 of the series focuses on the design and management of primary data collection systems, highlighting the importance of developing a solid infrastructure and maintaining data integrity through continuous monitoring.

Part 2 explores opportunities for leveraging existing research data, including guidance for navigating data repositories and discussion of advanced analytic approaches for harmonizing data and performing integrative data analysis.

All presentations are free and open to the public.
