The Institute has created a new research topic on Adult Education. Under this topic, individuals may apply to conduct research relevant to teaching adult learners reading, basic writing skills, and basic mathematics skills. The Institute is eliminating the topic of Interventions for Struggling Adolescent and Adult Readers and Writers. Individuals interested in research on struggling adolescent readers or writers may apply under the Reading and Writing topic. Individuals interested in research on adult learners may apply to the Adult Education research topic.  The Institute is eliminating the topic of Middle and High School Reform.  Individuals may continue to apply for grants to conduct research on middle and high school reform under the Education Policy, Finance, and Systems topic. The Institute is creating a new research program to emphasize the Organization and Management of Schools and Districts.
