
HyeonJin Yoon, MAP Academy research assistant professor, led the third and final presentation of the 2024-25 Methodology Applications Series March 28 at Carolyn Pope Edwards Hall.
Video is now available of Yoon’s presentation, titled, “Navigating Research Data Repositories to Support Secondary Analyses.”
Yoon introduced the process of accessing and utilizing publicly available datasets for research in the social, behavioral and educational sciences. She offered practical guidance on navigating and utilizing data repositories with examples, and discussed benefits and challenges of secondary data analysis.
Additionally, Yoon outlined key research steps, and highlighted training resources and grant opportunities to help researchers maximize the potential of secondary analysis research.
The 2024-25 Methodology Applications Series was hosted by CYFS’ Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics and Psychometrics with funding support from the Nebraska Research Initiative.
The series will resume next fall.
