Looking to get the most out of your grant submissions? CYFS is here to help.
Faculty wanting to learn more about Institute of Education Sciences (IES) grant funding, or who are planning a new submission or resubmission, are encouraged to attend the center’s 2021 IES Grant Essentials series.
The series began April 23 and continues with monthly sessions through July. Each session will provide an overview of IES grant funding, outline resources for developing a successful application and let you know how to maximize CYFS support for your grant.
Sessions are open to any faculty member wanting to learn more about IES grant funding, or who is planning a new submission or a re-submission. You may register for any session, or all of them as a package.
The four sessions include:
Session 1: “IES 101”
- IES funding mechanisms
- Tips and Q&A with a successful applicant
Session 2: “Preparing IES Budgets” — Friday, May 21, 9-10 a.m.
- IES budget preparation
- Pre-award process
Session 3: “Tips on Writing Your IES Research Plan” — Friday, June 18, 9-10 a.m.
- Methodology for various project types
- Reviewers’ perspectives
Session 4: “Beyond the Study: Other IES Components” — Friday, July 16, 9-10 a.m.
- Examples from successful proposals
- Strategies for letters of support, dissemination plans and more
If you plan to submit or resubmit a proposal to IES, or are unsure, please email Julie Gillmor, proposal development coordinator, as soon as possible.
If none of the sessions are convenient, or if you have any questions about IES grants, please contact Julie to arrange individual meetings to cover IES grant essentials.
